300 Street Light Poles will Be Installed in Central Jakarta This Year

The Central Jakarta Bina Marga Sub-agency is about to build 300 street light poles with Light Emitting Diode (LED) system in eight sub-districts this year.

This installation will be focused on neighborhood roads and sidewalks

Central Jakarta Bina Marga Sub-agency Head, Muhammad Soleh said street light poles installation is carried out to follow up on residents' aspirations from Musrenbang.

"This installation will be focused on neighborhood roads and sidewalks such as on Jalan Yusuf Adiwinata and Jalan Agus Salim," he expressed, Tuesday (5/30).

206 Street Light Poles will Be Built in Central Jakarta This Year

Of 300 street light poles, 270 points are on neighborhood roads and 30 other points are on sidewalks. They will be installed from Junr to three months ahead.

"The street light poles built on neighborhood roada use nine-meter-high poles with a foundation depth of 1.5 meters," he explained.

He added it would spend a budget by Rp 4 billion from City Budget (APBD).

"Hopefully, residents will feel safe and comfortable, especially at night," he hoped.
